Apprenticeships At Zycko
Zycko feels strongly that providing work experience opportunities to young people is extremely important. Since 2011, we have successfully employed two apprentices within our development team as Web Developers. As well as gaining valuable work experience, they are currently working towards an IT Professional qualification. We believe that nurturing raw talent helps our company grow and develop, as they bring interesting and fresh ideas to the table.
One of our apprentices, Kyle Holmes, was unemployed after leaving the military due to medical reasons, Kyle comments “I was applying for 7-10 jobs a day but unfortunately due to a lack of qualifications, a lot of companies looked past my skill set. I didn’t want to go back to college, so decided to take on an apprenticeship in order to earn whilst I learn. I enjoy working for the Zycko Group as I have been able to broaden my knowledge of the IT industry.” Hoping to build on the success of our apprenticeship scheme so far, we are looking to take on a number of apprentices across our company during 2012.
