Senior Technical Consultant - IP

Zycko is seeking a highly motivated, experienced individual to join the Professional Services Team; the successful candidate will have proven experience of IP and WAN Optimisation. The role involves design and installation of solutions.

The Role

The successful candidate will take on the following responsibilities:

• Assist Zycko sales team with product/solution support by providing pre-sales advice, designs.
• Provide technical support for Zycko IP and WAN Optimisation portfolio.
• Responsibility for quality control and content verification of external documents, such as the proposals to prospective customers and tender submissions.
• Responsible for supporting the Zycko sales team, providing technically suitable configurations and schematics.
• Present project reports, reviews of pre/post sales activites and advise on product and solutions strategies to the senior management as required.
• Act as vendor liaison to selected product sets.
• Develop and use and maintenance of the relevant demonstration lab areas as required for product support, testing and development.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.

The Person

The most important criteria include strong self motivation, a natural aptitude to setting and achieving targets, tenacity and first-class interpersonal skills.

• Essential: Sound knowledge of IP and WAN Optimisation.
• Exposure to networking equipment including routers and switches from various vendors.
• Understanding of fault finding within a data network.
• Industry recognised intermediate to advanced data networking certifications.
• Ability to work on own initiative or work as part of a team.
• Willingness to attend customer locations within the UK to complete requested tasks.
• Ability to manage workload effectively.
• Full driving licence required.
