Rialto Bridge
Many servers installed and employed in day-to-day work are unable to support Fibre Channel due to either the cost of upgrade, the server hardware and OS, or the server is just unable to support Fibre Channel.
This means that they cannot benefit from the many advantages that Fibre Channel brings - just the flexibility to increase the distance between the server and the devices and the ability to share devices between servers underline the usefulness of moving to Fibre Channel.
With the SFC4200 it is now possible to connect these SCSI based servers to the Fibre Channel network in a simple cost effective way. By placing the SFC4200 device between the SCSI interface and the Fibre Channel network, legacy servers can enjoy the benefits of Fibre Channel without any changes to the hardware, operating system or applications.
