PowerDsine

Power-over-Ethernet(PoE) allows Ethernet based devices; IP telephones, wireless LAN access points, IP cameras, digital displays, thin clients and other enterprise terminals to safely receive power over standard category 5 or better Ethernet cabling, without modification to existing infrastructure. These devices support easy and efficient installation of converged networks to support a variety of markets; Education, Healthcare, Municipal Surveillance, Retail, Financial, Public Transport… 

Microsemi's PowerDsine Midspans were one of the first solutions available to power Ethernet devices over existing Ethernet infrastructure.  Now PowerDsine continues leadership of Power over Ethernet technology with environmentally friendly devices that deliver power over all 4 pairs of CAT-5 or better cable and through leadership contributions to the development of recently ratified HDBaseT standard which will deliver up to 95W of power over HDBaseT (PoH). 
PowerDsine midspans are standalone layer 1 data pass-through devices that decouple power and data infrastructures and reside between an ordinary Ethernet Switch and the end terminals. Making power part of the infrastructure - this is an ideal solution for the increasing power supply requirements of today’s Ethernet devices, providing flexibility and scalability.
