Riverbed opens Ontario offices

29 Nov 2006

Riverbed has enhanced its North American operations by opening new offices in the Canadian city of Ontario.

The firm sees this as a significant step in catering fully for its sizeable Canadian market, particularly where application performance over wide area networks (WANs) is concerned.

Jerry Kennelly, CEO and president of Riverbed, explained: "Riverbed's first customer was a Canadian company.

"Riverbed’s decision to expand operations in North America is driven by customer and partner demand, as organisations recognise the importance of optimising WAN performance for a broad range of applications and services, including IT consolidation, backup and disaster recovery, and application acceleration.

"We look forward to working with our Canadian partners to meet the needs of distributed enterprises."

Riverbed has established many crucial partnerships and relationships across Canada which will help expand the scope of its services – with its Steelhead appliance, which helps offices with offices in a range of different locations to surmount a host of problems, more popular than ever.
