NeoScale details global key management vision

24 Apr 2007

NeoScale has revealed details of a new Global Management thought piece.

The report is to detail the implementation of its newly-announced Global Key Management vision and is built on open API support for the industry's "most secure, automated and interoperable key management platform".

Entitled Thought Piece: Next Evolution in Global Key Management, the report outlines ways in which global key management can provide effective, centralised and scalable management of the keys in a business – no matter how large the network.

NeoScale adds: "Given the high costs of security breaches, many companies have recognised that they must do more than just secure their data at-rest; they must also secure the keys that encrypt the data."

"The investment in key management is minimal compared to the staggering costs of a breach."

The news follows reports that NeoScale has expanded API support for its CryptoStor KeyVault platform.

This will allow users to plug any encryption device or application into the network and have management services "automatically delivered to it by a network of key management platforms working together to deliver key management services," said Dore Rosenblum, vice president of marketing at NeoScale.
