

Huawei to develop telecommunications in Africa

Huawei has expressed its anticipation at its contribution to the development in Africa through telecommunications.
The vendor recently attended a 2007 Annual Meeting of the African Development Bank Group, which was held in Shanghai, China.
Huawei hopes to build on the development in telecommunications that it has already been involved with in Africa that has contributed to the county's economic progress.
Mr Li Jinge, senior vice president of Huawei, commented: "Huawei will continue to increase its investment in Africa to promote China-Africa cooperation and interaction on telecommunications, so that the two countries will continue to grow together providing a brighter future for the people of Africa."
Huawei has 32 representative departments in Africa and like Zycko has an office in South Africa.
Meanwhile, Huawei is to establish a joint venture with Global Marine Systems for the telecommunications market.
