Configured with NAND flash chips aimed at improving system performance, enhancing ruggedness and using less energy.
Jason Breakstone, product manager of SSDs for PNY Technologies, commented: "SSDs are an emerging technology - on pace to replace traditional hard disk drives in many mobile applications.
"As we see flash prices continue to decrease, the significant advantages that SSDs provide over traditional rotational disk solutions will be justified by the consumer," he added.
PNY Technologies was first established in 1985 and specialises in computer graphics accelerator cards for graphics boards.
The vendor recently launched XLR8TM Blue and Gold 2GB memory kits designed to provide superior heat extraction..
