06 Jun 2007
Spectra Logic is now listed on the Canadian government's National Master Standing Offer (NMSO) contract in the category of archival storage equipment.
The vendor was awarded the contract having been selected through the government's criteria and value analysis and regulations and policies affecting public sector procurement.
Spectra Logic states that products listed have met or exceeded minimum technical requirements as set by the Public Works and Government Services Canada and the highest level of standards set by the Crown and the Federal Government of Canada.
Nathan Thompson, chief executive officer of Spectra Logic, commented: "Spectra Logic is dedicated to helping agencies lower costs, reduce risk and save time during data back-up and archive.
"We pursued this contract award so Canada's federal department and agencies can have access to proven storage hardware through a more efficient product purchasing process."
Among the solutions offered in the NMSO contract are Spectra T950, T120 and the T50.
The news follows reports that Spectra Logic has provided data solutions for St John's Hospital in central and southern Illinois.
