

Smart Modular Technologies launches new DDR3 technology

Smart Modular Technologies has launched a new DDR3 product family to address the projected needs of desktop systems.
The vendor states that it has started supporting DDR3 unbuffered DIMMs that range from 512 MB to 2GB.
Smart Modular Technologies states that the technology allows original equipment manufacturers to implement systems with higher performance and larger overall memory capacities.
Doug DiMaio, director of sales for Smart's channel business division, commented: "SMART recognises the expected proliferation of DDR3 technology in next-generation desktop systems.
"Ramping up our efforts now will help position SMART to take advantage of this market."
Smart Modular Technologies specialises in memories, modules and cards, as well as liquid-crystal display solutions.
It says its success is derived from a "customer-focussed approach" that highlights its technical expertise and "high quality customer service"..
