Emulex opens new central European office
07 Jun 2007
Emulex has launched a new central European office in Munich, Germany.
The vendor states the opening follows a period of rapid expansion for the company, which saw it reach record revenues of £200.7 million.
It says its growth and diversification strategy is driven by global expansion and its product lines, which include host server products, embedded storage products and intelligent network products.
Alan Wallman, vice president of EMEA at Emulex, commented: "With offices in several European countries and three solid product lines, Emulex is uniquely positioned to take advantage of the business drivers shaping the server and storage industries, including consolidation, virtualisation and convergence of protocols and networks."
He added the central Europe location is a "very important territory" and a dedicated team in Munich will allow it to expand its customer base, achieving its goal of unmatched products and services to customers globally.
The news follows an announcement that Emulex' Intel quad-core storage servers use Light Pulse HBAs for SAN connectivity.
