

JDSU introduces industry's most complete DSL field test instrument

JDSU has launched a new handheld device that will provide the most complete set of DSL test functionality on the current market.
The device will be able to test across a wide range of frequencies including ADSL2, ADSL2+, VDSL and VDSL2. It is expected that the new HST-3000 instrument will be met the growing needs of field technicians who install and maintain VDSL access networks, the HST-3000 enables the deployment of higher bit-rate triple play services, including IPTV and HDTV.
JDSU are currently showcasing the device at the NXTCOMM 2007 in Chicago until June 21st and it is expected to ensure further long-term development of DSL services for consumers.
"DSL continues to evolve to meet the needs of broadband users worldwide, and JDSU has the most complete DSL test set on the market in the HST-3000," said Jerry Gentile, general manager of JDSU's Telecommunication Field Services (TFS) Communications Test and Measurement group.
He added: "As DSL test needs expand in the access network, the HST-3000 will continue to provide in a single instrument a complete set of triple-play service test capabilities that keep it ahead of the competition."
