Infortrend unveils EonStor redundant controller subsystem

04 Sep 2007

Infortrend has announced the launch of its EonStor S12S-R1032 redundant controller subsystem, the latest product in its SAS-SAS (serial attached SCSI) RAID array portfolio.

The firm reports that the performance of this product exceeds that of SCSI-320, offering consumers enough bandwidth and processing ability for the support of large storage capacities for applications requiring massive amounts of data.

Up to three EonStor S12S-J1002-R SAS JBODs can be connected to the product to build an array of up to 48TB of storage.

Quote Lin, senior marketing director of Infortrend Technology, said: "As the industry makes the natural move from SCSI-320 to SAS, we're continuing to offer products that deliver the increased performance and flexibility that best fit our customers' needs."

Infortrend added that it is renowned for designing data storage systems that use the most modern technology available.

The company offers a range of Fibre RAID, SAS RAID, SCSI RAID and SATA RAID products in its EonStor line.
