04 Oct 2007
Andrew Philippou is to streamline the delivery of support to customers of Spectra Logic, the firm claims.
The new vice-president of worldwide support and services is expected to provide added value to clients by leveraging his "industry knowledge", according to chief operating officer Marcy Montgomery.
Mr Philippou comments: "My personal goal is to work closely with marketing on Spectra's support product portfolio to ensure we meet or exceed customer expectations."
With more than 20 years of experience in the high-tech industries, nine of which have been devoted to data storage, the new vice-president has held senior management positions which have seen him responsible for tackling "global critical situations", the firm adds.
His latest role is to place him in overall administration of Spectra Logic's first call response, technical support, installation and professional services, the firm asserts.
Spectra Logic has been a provider of solutions for the backup and encryption industries for the past 27 years and claims to have been the first to introduce internet small computer system interface tape libraries in 2003..
