Smart looks to server virtualisation for growth
05 Oct 2007
Server virtualisation is a key area for future growth, according to Smart Modular Technologies.
The firm, which also produces memory modules for use in computers, reveals that its virtualisation solutions are among its best-performing products at the moment.
And Iain MacKenzie, president and chief executive officer of the company, predicts continued success as the industry's data storage requirements increase.
"Signs that bode well for improved unit and density growth of Smart products include a trend towards server virtualisation in the enterprise market," he asserts.
Mr MacKenzie adds that the technology is beneficial because "multiple applications run on a single physical server".
He anticipates that a "continued growth in computing requirements" is likely to occur in the near future to further boost the company's sales.
Smart Modular Technologies states that the benefits it offers to clients include "logistic services tailored to meet specific customers' needs", as well as checking its equipment using "the industry's most advanced testing equipment"..
