Spectra Logic makes Fast 50 shortlist

26 Oct 2007

Data archive specialist Spectra Logic has been listed on the Fast 50 programme for Colorado by analyst Deloitte.

The shortlist identifies 50 of the best-performing companies in the state in terms of expansion over recent years, with Spectra Logic ranked at 44 in the latest line-up due to its five-year growth rate of 36 per cent.

In order to qualify for the list, the criteria require that companies own proprietary technology which contributes significantly to their profits, while they must be within the geographical boundaries of Colorado to appear on that state's list.

Nathan Thompson, chief executive officer of Spectra Logic, comments that the firm "made a significant investment in its sales and marketing staff size this year, which enabled Spectra Logic to launch a wider variety of sales and marketing programmes".

On a national basis, Deloitte also operates the Fast 500 list, highlighting the 500 most rapidly expanding firms across the US and Canada as a whole, while the Rising Star version of the lists ranks companies formed in the past five years.
