Polycom adds to HD video line-up

22 Jan 2008

Polycom has further extended its range of high-definition (HD) video conferencing products.

The HDX 7000 series is targeted at small and medium-sized conference rooms and is due to be exhibited at the Polycom Global Partner Conference being held this week in San Diego, California.

Joe Sigrist, senior vice-president and general manager of video solutions at Polycom, comments: "Polycom offers customers the best HD video experience and the broadest portfolio of fully interoperable telepresence and HD visual communications solutions."

He adds that the firm's products can integrate into an existing communications system "seamlessly" to connect the "entire knowledge network" of the organisation.

The HDX 7000 series combines HD video, voice and data conferencing to allow real-time collaboration between workers in different offices with the benefit of a visual link.

Additional products available to further enhance an installation of HDX 7000 systems include a ceiling-mounted microphone array with three separate microphone elements for panoramic coverage..
