Virtual Iron gains server virtualisation plaudits

04 Mar 2008

Virtual Iron has been commended by CMP Channel's VARBusiness magazine for its efforts in developing technology that enables businesses worldwide to virtualise their servers.

All manner of companies are keen to improve their server efficiency and the experts at VARBusiness have been convinced of the utility of Virtual Iron's technology in making these aims a reality.

The magazine has described Virtual Iron's technology as being affordable and easy to use and suggested that the company's solutions incorporate workload migration capabilities that are transparent and "policy-based".

Additionally, value-added resellers have been able to provide businesses with a complete virtualisation service based on Virtual Iron's developments, which can be used for capacity management, server consolidation and disaster recovery.

Robert DeMarzo, vice-president and editorial director for CMP Channel, said: "Solution providers are always in search of the best way to satisfy their customers' technology solution and services needs and VARBusiness Alternatives illustrate the wide range of choices that exist in the market today."

In late January, Virtual Iron announced that it had secured close to £10 million in equity financing that will be invested to enhance its product development processes and expand its sales capacity worldwide.
