ExaGrid data backup validated by ESG

07 Mar 2008

Disk-based backup solutions firm ExaGrid has seen its latest developments commended for "superb" performance by the Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG).

ESG is a specialist in analysing the effectiveness of disk-based backup technology and ExaGrid's solutions were praised for how well their de-duplication systems were able to function.

These de-duplication capabilities are able to offer businesses a way of making considerable efficiency and cost savings benefits and ESG has described ExaGrid's products as offering "optimal backup and recovery performance".

Additionally, the tech firm's disk-based backup systems were said to be "simple and intuitive" to install, as well as flexible enough to meet any future scalability requirements.

"ESG Lab believes that organisations struggling with the cost, complexity and risk associated with tape backups would be wise to consider the bottom line savings that can be achieved with ExaGrid," a statement from the research firm read.

Earlier this year, ExaGrid reported record sales figures for the final quarter of 2007, having generated an increase of close to 30 per cent on the previous three-month period.
