Powerware 9395 'ideal for data centres'

10 Mar 2008

The Powerware 9395 uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is well suited to the needs of large data centres, manufacturer Eaton Powerware asserts.

Industry publication Plant Engineering magazine recently awarded the device the title of Electrical Power Product of the Year, an accolade senior product manager Michael Doggett said the company was "excited to receive".

Now he stresses that IT managers with large amounts of data and a need for reliable, consistent access to files could be wise to invest in a UPS capable of isolating the output power from that provided by the mains supply.

"The Powerware 9395 can be configured as a completely redundant system, making it ideal for large data centres, medical facilities, or any enterprise with a critical load that must operate 24 hours a day," he says.

With an operating efficiency of 94 per cent and a double conversion design to help limit the effect of any anomalies in the input supply, Eaton asserts that the Powerware 9395 is among the industry's leading products.
