ExaGrid client list passes 200 mark

14 Mar 2008

More than 200 customers have now purchased solutions from ExaGrid, the company has revealed.

ExaGrid explains that this represents the second-largest client base within the industry in terms of disk backup systems equipped with deduplication capabilities.

Some 34 customers have also had their experiences published in the form of success stories - which the company claims is a greater number than any of its competitors in the data deduplication market.

Marc Crespi, vice-president of product management at ExaGrid, observes that there is an almost even split between clients using the company's solutions only at their primary site and those also using it for secondary backup.

"This shows customers' progress toward complete tape elimination," he asserts - with 49 per cent of clients now not using tapes in their backup procedure.

ExaGrid recently published financial figures showing a 30 per cent quarterly increase in sales for the three months to the end of December 2007.
