Riverbed bridges offices to create 'one firm'
14 Mar 2008
Connecting multiple offices can help to create a sense of many locations being part of "one firm", according to Riverbed client Barge Waggoner Sumner and Cannon (BWSC).
Riverbed's wide-area data services (WDS) solutions help to put in place a bridge between remote offices, allowing colleagues to collaborate on projects in real time.
BWSC has recently installed Steelhead appliances at 12 offices in the US to consolidate its IT infrastructure and accelerate access to applications on the company network.
IT manager Phil Newby says: "Riverbed's WDS solutions are completely in line with our 'one firm' philosophy to bridge different offices to ensure a more transparent, productive and efficient working environment."
As well as accelerating application performance, productivity per employee has also been raised by an average of 46.7 minutes for each person on a monthly basis.
Riverbed's Steelhead brand was recently named as "best of the tests" for wide-area network optimisation in the past 12 months by industry publication Network World.
