Isilon looks to 'significant transformation' of storage market

20 Mar 2008

The storage market is undergoing "significant transformation", according to Isilon Systems.

A spokesperson for the firm explains that the company is looking to make the most of the opportunities available to it around the world in a time of flux for the industry as a whole.

Senior vice-president Brett Helsel says: "Isilon is positioned to redefine the enterprise storage market during a period of significant transformation and create enormous strategic value to enterprise customers around the world."

Mr Helsel was recently appointed to the role by Isilon Systems in order to focus on the future development of products designed to cater for growing demand from the clustered storage market.

Former vice-president of engineering Paul Rutherford also takes on a new role at the firm, having been reappointed to the rank of chief technology officer.

The news follows the addition of two new members to Isilon Systems' board of directors in a move announced in February.
