FSC Primergy offers 'state of the art' data transfer

20 Mar 2008

For a state of the art data transfer solution, Fujitsu Siemens Computers (FSC) recommends its Primergy range of enterprise servers.

The BX600 series of server blades from FSC is described by the firm as a "workhorse" option for data centre managers looking to implement automation or virtualisation.

Jens-Peter Seick, senior vice-president of FSC's enterprise server business, says: "Primergy Blade Servers can now deliver state of the art data transfer and backup demanded by mission-critical systems - even within virtual machines."

Onboard memory of up to 32 GB is provided on each of the models in the BX600 series, along with space for two hard drives providing capacity of up to 146 GB each.

By adding a compatible network controller, FSC points out that the servers may work with both iSCSI and Ethernet protocols, presenting a unified networking environment to the user.

FSC asserts that its corporate social responsibility includes a commitment to serving the environment which is described by the mission statement "we make sure".
