Edgewater Networks provides 'standout' VoIP

26 Mar 2008

For a "standout" VoIP solution, Edgewater Networks might be able to supply the desired infrastructure, it has been claimed.

Dave Norman, chief executive officer of Edgewater Networks, explains that the firm's EdgeMarc Network Services Gateway can operate as part of a unified communications system tailored to a high standard.

The all-in-one devices help to make it easier to deploy IP-based voice, video and data communications, with a number of different features available depending on the requirements of the firm installing the units.

One such feature is the EdgeView VoIP Support System, which helps to allow network managers to troubleshoot problems with voice quality during calls.

EdgeConnect power over Ethernet switches, meanwhile, allow for the network to be extended to areas where no mains supply is available, when compatible handsets are used.

The EdgeMarc 4500T4 VoIP virtual private network was recently named as the recipient of the tenth annual Product of the Year award from industry publication Internet Telephony.
