Virtualisation 'will reshape IT'
07 Apr 2008
Virtualisation is capable of "enabling disaster recovery for the masses", according to a new webinar from SANRAD and Enterprise Strategy Group.
In the broadcast, chief executive officer of SANRAD Dave DuPont notes that disaster recovery need not be expensive, highlighting some of the ways in which such a process may be carried out within a virtualised network environment.
Publisher of the on-demand webinar Xtalks explains that the rise of virtualisation is leading IT managers to reassess their disaster recovery procedures in light of the fact that many virtual servers could reside on a single physical device.
Virtualization: Enabling Disaster Recovery for the Masses is due to be available for download from April 29th and also incorporates comment from Steve Duplessie, founder of Enterprise Strategy Group, on how virtualisation can allow businesses of all sizes to put disaster recovery provisions in place.
SANRAD previously revealed that sales of disaster recovery and virtualisation solutions led it to achieve record performance in the fourth quarter of 2007.
