Force10 'can service campus customers'
24 Apr 2008
Force10's solutions are suitable for use by clients with networks distributed across a large-scale campus environment, the company has claimed.
The firm's TeraScale E300 and S50 devices have been adopted by Puerto Rico healthcare provider Hospital Auxilio Mutuo, the nation's largest medical centre, to put in place an always-on network with reliable access for physicians.
"We can quickly meet the evolving needs of large campus customers, like Auxilio Mutuo, while delivering the right solution for their unique environment," comments vice-president of worldwide channels and alliances Jim Watts.
Edgard Rodriguez, director of IT at the hospital, adds that the Force10 solution is capable of maintaining high levels of performance during peak usage of the network, forming a "world-class" foundation for the medical centre's infrastructure.
Force10 recently announced a plan to donate notebooks and printers to students in the US alongside the Horatio Alger scholarship scheme, which recognises high school seniors who have overcome adversity in their personal lives.
