Spectra T-series 'offers long-term archiving'
25 Apr 2008
Making use of Spectra Logic's T-series of data storage devices can allow long-term archiving to be put in place, the company claims.
The units come with "industry-leading" power efficiency, scalability and storage density capabilities, the firm says, as well as incorporating the self-maintenance programme which allows spare parts to be kept on site in case any component fails.
Hossein ZiaShakeri, senior vice-president of strategic marketing for Spectra Logic, says: "Our data tape libraries provide low-cost, long-term digital archiving to ensure easy management and availability of content in the future when needed."
Digital tape and disk-based storage solutions are both available from Spectra Logic, with capacities ranging anywhere from a few hours to room enough for hundreds of thousands of hours to be archived.
Spectra Logic recently revealed its client Nascar had been granted the Storage Networking World award for selecting and deploying a data storage network after adopting Spectra Logic's appliances to archive its broadcast footage.
