Chilean casinos 'choose Intransa'

29 Apr 2008

Enjoy Group, operator of nine casinos in Chile, has adopted Intransa's IP storage solutions for its video surveillance systems, it has been revealed.

These are available for storage environments ranging from 4 TB to 1.5 PB with the added benefit of Raid protection, as well as being certified as interoperable with products from more than 35 other IT vendors.

Jeff Whitney, vice-president of marketing at Intransa, says: "By using Intransa's scalable, security-grade IP storage for video surveillance applications Enjoy Group can increase surveillance reliability and lower their costs."

He adds that the group is also able to increase the coverage of its surveillance both by adding more cameras and by retaining footage for longer than was previously the case.

Intransa recently unveiled its next-generation IP storage products at the ISC West convention in casino capital Las Vegas, with the introduction of its EdgeBlock M12 recording platform and Video Storage Administrator toolset for administration.
