Riverbed granted CRN Emerging Tech award

Riverbed Technology has been named as the recipient of an Emerging Tech accolade from industry publication CRN.

The award identifies technologies likely to see increased uptake in the near future due to their abilities to deliver high margins at a cost lower than that of similar solutions from major brands.

Bertrand Yansouni, vice-president of channel sales at Riverbed, says: "Our customers depend on us to deliver on our promise of continuous product innovation to meet their ever-changing needs - our goal is to continue to provide a focused product strategy."

Riverbed adds that 61 per cent of solution providers told CRN in a recent survey that they are looking to increase the number of emerging technologies they incorporate into projects undertaken in the coming year.

Gartner recently identified Riverbed Technology as a market leader for the wide-area data services sector, referred to as wide area network optimisation by the industry analyst.
