

Adobe Scene7 deploys Isilon IQ

Isilon's IQ series of clustered storage solutions has been deployed by Adobe in order to service its Scene7 rich media platform, which distributes content online, it has emerged.
OneFS, an operating system software layer, is used to power the Isilon IQ line-up, which aims to unify unstructured data into a single storage system to help lower complexity and cost of storage networks.
Adobe has now adopted IQ for its Scene7 platform as part of an attempt to improve both the scalability and performance of the software, consequentially enhancing its availability to end-users.
Steve Fitz, senior vice-president of worldwide field operations at Isilon Systems, says: "As the internet continues to penetrate every aspect of modern life, its value as a sales and marketing vehicle is indisputable."
A recent study conducted by Forrester Research on behalf of Isilon Systems found that the average client of the firm achieves a 22 per cent increase in storage utilisation and a 97 per cent reduction in management demands.
