Smartways portal honoured by Asigra

Asigra has presented managed IT service provider Smartways with an award to recognise the quality of its web portal and associated secure backup service, TouchPoint.
Smartways managing director Mike Richards explains that the company aims to provide "up to the minute support" for its resellers through its advanced partner portal, which complements TouchPoint by allowing partners direct access to manage their own customers' accounts.
He comments: "Our recent Asigra award confirms that the portal approach is a trend that is gaining increased momentum; we are pleased to be at the forefront of this support network."
Asigra notes that version two of the advanced partner portal is unique to Smartways and facilitates cost-effective management by resellers through the ability to directly administrate clients' disk quotas.
Recently, Asigra itself was recognised by industry publication CRN as one of the periodical's emerging tech vendors for 2008, an honour bestowed on firms which introduce innovative technologies to the market.
