Asigra Televaulting 'is less intrusive'
20 Aug 2008
Asigra Televaulting's agentless design makes it less intrusive than some of the alternatives, it has been asserted.
The information recovery management platform has been praised by analyst IDC for its ease of implementation and lack of intrusion into existing network infrastructure.
Krista Collins, research analyst for IDC, says: "The platform is designed to make it easy and cost-effective for customers to achieve regulatory compliance and drive greater benefits from virtualisation."
IDC adds that the rate of information growth is currently exponential and that traditional backup systems may be unable to accommodate the accelerating need for storage in the long term.
But with technology such as Asigra Televaulting, the analyst claims that businesses which were previously "drowning in data" could find that they are able to "keep their heads above water".
Asigra was recently named by industry publication CRN as being amongst the 25 top emerging technology vendors for its "winning view" on advancing products for the storage sector.
