Riverbed 'enables law firm collaboration'
20 Aug 2008
Riverbed Technology has stressed the application of its Steelhead appliance for law firms looking to improve their collaborative efforts and accelerate access to files for employees across their networks.
The organisation asserts that, in the US alone, it is already working with 48 of the 100 largest legal practices to help them in sharing files via custom-built industry-standard applications.
"By deploying Riverbed Steelhead appliances, law firms can centralise data stores to ensure security and consistency," the company explains.
Doing so also holds the promise of giving employees greater access at high speeds to the information they need from remote locations, Riverbed Technology continues.
"With wide-area data services (WDS), law firms are able to more efficiently share files," the firm adds.
Among the law firms recently added to Riverbed's client portfolio is Simmons & Simmons, which implemented WDS solutions from the company across its network of 20 offices earlier in the year.
