Riverbed brings expert knowledge to Poland
23 Sep 2008
A new office in Warsaw is to be opened by Riverbed to meet the needs of organisations seeking to overcome problems associated with application performance over wide area networks (WANs).
Organisations recognise the importance of a good quality WAN performance for issues such as application acceleration, backup and disaster recovery plans and IT consolidation, Riverbed says.
"The innovative and market-leading wide area data services (WDS) solutions offered by Riverbed enable collaboration between distributed sites, while ensuring data security and control," says Wojciech Golebiowski, regional sales manager at Riverbed.
Poland is a European manufacturing hub with many multi-national corporations having global integrated operations, he adds.
Eastern European local partners and customers will be worked with to strengthen relationships in light of growing markets, Riverbed vice-president of Europe, Middle East and Africa Marcus Chambers says.
Performance speeds of applications between data centres, mobile workers and remote offices could increase by speeds of up to 100 times faster with the WDS solutions, Riverbed claims, adding that this can overcome insufficient bandwidth at remote sites.
WDS is the proven approach for accelerating applications over the WAN, according to technology website www.techrepublic.com.
