27 Oct 2008
Scalable disk-based backup solutions vendor Exagrid has announced that its third-quarter sales were up 25 per cent on the previous quarter, a 129 per cent increase from the same time last year.
The record sales were combined with a 69 per cent increase in international sales over the previous quarter, while 54 more customers turned to the vendor for its data backup systems which include data de-duplication, Exagrid claims.
"With the most cost-effective, highest performance and most scalable product, our worldwide sales to a diverse set of mid-sized enterprise companies increased substantially in Q3-08," says Bill Andrews, president and chief executive officer of ExaGrid.
In addition, the vendor continues to be a fast-growing company in the worldwide market for its disk-based solutions, Mr Andrews adds, while new customers included the US Army, the Environmental Protection Agency and the House of Representatives.
Exagrid is currently taking part in the event Lunch and Learn - Hungry For Better Backups at a number of venues, finishing in Washington DC on November 13th.
