Fujitsu 'solves compliance and data growth'
28 Oct 2008
Fujitsu Siemens Computers has announced its Effective Email initiative to combat the effects of the data bloat experienced by firms globally, the vendor reports.
The need to efficiently deploy end-to-end data management to meet the 8th EU directive on data compliance has further pushed the need for an effective and efficient solution to the fore.
"We have put together a comprehensive solution to the emerging challenge of coping with email archiving and system performance - providing a powerful tool to cut through email mountains and still ensure compliance," says Helmut Beck, vice-president of storage at Fujitsu Siemens Computers.
EuroSOX, the directive governing company law, could be well served by the initiative, which the vendor claims provides archiving of email on receipt, although only one copy is saved - no matter how many copies were sent - in order to combat the problem of data-packed inboxes.
The vendor previously announced that it had launched an integrated campaign platform across Europe, highlighting the fact that Fujitsu Siemens Computers provides solutions for the most pressing needs of firms.
