Asigra certified for Virtual Iron

12 Nov 2008

Information recovery vendor Asigra has announced that its Televaulting product has been certified to be used with Virtual Iron's server virtualisation software.

Asigra's product reduces memory and central processing unit needs, as well as the resources required for the management and deployment of information recovery processes, the vendor states.

Furthermore, Virtual Iron's software allows enterprises to reduce the complexity and price of operating and managing their IT infrastructure, providing a cost-effective solution for data centre needs.

Commenting on the partnership, Adam Moise, director of global alliances at Asigra, says: "IT efficiency is a primary factor driving organisational adoption of server virtualisation and Asigra furthers that value proposition by providing a streamlined backup and recovery platform for virtualised environments."

The vendor recently announced that it had joined with ONStor to hold a seminar about how the two firms' solutions can transform the network-attached storage of an enterprise.
