Riverbed Cascade allows 'scalable monitoring'

Data managers can monitor their networks on a scalable basis through the use of Riverbed Cascade products, according to a company spokesperson.
Speaking following Riverbed's recent acquisition of Mazu Networks, Eric Wolford, senior vice-president of marketing and business development at Riverbed, notes the advantages to be gained from the new product portfolio.
"Riverbed Cascade appliances provide scale to our customers' ability to monitor the optimisation and performance of their key applications," he says.
This in turn enables Riverbed to simplify the analysis and generation of reports across an application distribution system or other form of data network.
Mr Wolford adds that it is this combination of simplicity, speed and scale that has helped Riverbed to establish a leading position in the infrastructure performance sector.
Riverbed recently reasserted the potential for its product portfolio to help data managers to resolve problems encountered when implementing virtualisation or undertaking consolidation of IT infrastructure.
