Five stars for HDS

Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) has been named as a five-star partner programme provider in the 2009 Everything Channel Partner Program Guide.
Mike Walkey, senior vice-president of channels at HDS, says that the company is planning to use its existing partner programme as a launching pad for further incentives over the course of 2009.
"We view our channel partners as an extension of the Hitachi team and this award is a testament to our commitment to build strong, collaborative relationships," he adds.
The five-star accolade is granted only to the top-scoring partner programmes considered by Everything Channel in the formation of its annual publication.
Riverbed Technology was also recently named as a five-star partner programme provider as part of the 2009 guide following enhancements to its value-added resellers initiative.
The company's praise came in the emerging organisations segment of the guide, which focuses on companies formed in 2001 or the years since.
