Riverbed receives best practice support award
01 Jun 2009
The Service & Support Professionals Association has added a further accolade to Riverbed's trophy cabinet, naming the company as the recipient of the 2009 STAR award for best practices in emerging company support.
Executive director of the association Stephen Smith stressed the importance of such best practice in climates such as the present one, where a high quality of service can be "make or break" for support organisations.
Riverbed, a provider of wide area network (WAN) optimisation and acceleration solutions, was assessed on criteria including its product support, responsiveness, impact on customers' business and pro-activeness.
Scott Downie, vice-president of customer support at Riverbed, says: "In addition to offering leading WAN optimisation products, this recognition speaks volumes to our commitment to provide Riverbed customers an outstanding customer support organisation."
It was Riverbed's "service and support programme development, implementation and benchmarking" that earned it the accolade in the best emerging company support category, according to Riverbed.
Previously, Riverbed reported its success in securing the gold product leadership award from SearchEnterpriseWAN.com in an analysis of its WAN optimisation and application delivery products.
