Infortrend named 'best choice' for data storage

Infortrend is among the companies to achieve recognition in the Computex Design & Innovation Awards 2009, it has been revealed.
The awards assess participants on criteria such as functionality, environmental friendliness, workmanship, design quality and degree of innovation, among others.
In the data storage product category, Infortrend secured a 'Best Choice' award for its new ESVA portfolio of storage area network systems.
Products in the range have been designed to cater for virtualised environments while permitting "massive" scalability and advancing performance beyond levels previously achieved.
Infortrend adds that, for mid-range enterprise customers, the ESVA series allows optimised return on investment and maximum productivity from applications.
The ESVA or Enterprise Scalable Virtualized Architecture range is being introduced at the Computex Taipei 2009 convention, due to last until June 6th.
Other technologies receiving attention from Infortrend in its display at the event include unified storage solutions capable of consolidating network-attached storage and storage area networks into a single unit.
