Zeus looks to the cloud for flexibility and efficiency
03 Jun 2009
More companies are gaining efficiency and flexibility by shifting their IT infrastructure to cloud-based models, Zeus Technology says.
Travis Reed, general manager for Zeus Technology in the Americas, notes the commercial flexibility and greater operational efficiency that cloud-based infrastructure has to offer.
He adds that better quality of service and rapid scalability are further advantages for those companies which are able to switch over to a cloud computing model.
"As organisations review and upgrade their IT infrastructure and their business requirements change, we are seeing a shift to the cloud," he explains.
Zeus Technology itself offers "much more than a load balancing solution" in the form of its Zeus Extensible Traffic Manager Virtual Appliance (ZXTM VA) software.
Users of ZXTM VA can experience service level monitoring, content compression and prioritisation of key traffic, as well as bandwidth management features.
Zeus Technology explains that ZXTM VA helps applications served over the network to run more reliably and securely, with ease of management, while still serving programs quickly.
