Zeus Technology looks to accelerate cloud take-up

18/06/2009 09:18:01

Zeus Technology is preparing to accelerate the take-up of cloud computing by extending application traffic management services to new customers, it has been revealed.

In Australia, this is being achieved through a partnership with Ultra Serve and an initiative to deliver load-balancing capabilities through the country's first provider of cloud infrastructure, Rejila.

Paul Brennen, chief executive officer of Zeus Technology, says: "Cloud computing is becoming a reliable and affordable reality for organisations of all sizes across the world."

He adds that the application traffic management services offered through Rejila will help to accelerate the uptake of cloud technologies "in the very near future".

The development marks the latest stage in Zeus's relationship with Rejila's parent company Ultra Serve Managed Hosting, which already makes use of the Zeus Extensible Traffic Manager (ZXTM).

ZXTM is an application delivery platform which manages load balancing by inspecting each request received and routing it accordingly over the network.
