Korn/Ferry 'reduces WAN traffic volume' with Riverbed

24 Jun 2009

Korn/Ferry International has "drastically" reduced the traffic volume of its wide area network (WAN) and eliminated the delays on regional collaborations thanks to a solution from Riverbed.

The firm announced this week (June 22nd) that its Steelhead appliances have accelerated the key business applications at 17 of Korn/Ferry's Asia-Pacific offices by more than six times.

In addition, the Riverbed solution helped the executive recruitment company improve accessibility to resources and boost employee productivity - while avoiding an upgrade to its entire network.

"After a rigorous evaluation, we selected Riverbed, whose offerings were clearly the best due to their ease-of-installation, superior performance and reasonable cost," said Stein Bang, senior director of IT at Korn/Ferry International.

Riverbed's 6000-series of Steelhead appliances can meet the needs of companies with thousands of users, while its 100-series can be used with offices with a handful of employees.

The firm also offers an upgradable licensing capability, which can allow businesses to grow while maintaining WAN optimisation.
