Spectra Logic appoints sales VP to support continued growth

04 Nov 2009

Spectra Logic has announced the appointment of its new vice-president (VP) of worldwide sales in order to support the vendor's revenue growth and strong sales portfolio.

Brian Grainger will oversee all global sales management, processes and functions and brings with him vast experience in high-performance computing, technology and data storage.

Commenting on his appointment, he says: "With Spectra Logic’s industry-leading tape and disk-based data protection solutions, we excel at helping organisations intelligently design backup, recovery and archive solutions that meet their business objectives, lower risk and reduce operating expenses."

Indeed, chief executive officer of the vendor Nathan Thompson explains that despite the global economy, customer demand is still high for data protection solutions.

Spectra Logic recently wrote on its official blog that while encryption is an "obvious" data protection method for companies - especially with the high number of breaches recently reported - it is a technology which not all IT departments are deploying.
