Snom and ESTOS join forces to deliver VoIP to Microsoft users

04 Nov 2009

Snom Technology has announced a new partnership with ESTOS to deliver voice over internet protocol (VoIP) and unified communications to medium-sized businesses and enterprises.

The new ESTOS ECSTA for snom middleware allows snom's 8XX and 3XX series intelligent VoIP telephones to support additional unified communication applications in 64-bit and 32-bit Windows operating system environments.

Several telephony functions can also be taken advantage of through Microsoft TAPI-enabled applications, including consultation calls, alternating calls, single-step transfers and setting and receiving do not disturb statuses.

ESTOS ECSTA for snom also supports the latest desktop phone from snom, the 870, which features high-definition voice compatibility and full-colour touch screen.

Commenting on the partnership, Dr Michael Knieling, executive vice-president of marketing and sales for snom technology AG, says: "This pairing gives both snom and ESTOS the ability to deliver more advanced applications and capabilities to intelligent VoIP endpoints."

Snom recently announced it had joined with Jazinga to improve its support of high-quality IP telephony to small and medium-sized businesses.
