A leading global exchange group has chosen Force10 Network's switching technology to provide major infrastructure at its state-of-the-art data centres. NYSE Euronext will implement the purpose-built, high-performance ten gigabit Ethernet core and access switches immediately. The firm has data centres in New Jersey and London.
NYSE Euronext is using the Force10 C-Series resilient switches to manage its critical command-and-control network - a system responsible for processing billions of customer transactions every day.
Andrew Bach, senior vice-president of network services for NYSE, said: "We carefully selected technology partners like Force10, who could deliver unparalleled innovation yet be nimble enough to work quickly and effectively with us from development to deployment."
Mr Bach also praised Force10 for being able to deliver the speed and reliability required by the company's customers. The network provided by Force10, he stated, allows his staff to identify, manage and troubleshoot issues relating to the global platform.
Earlier this week Force10 revealed that it has received certification to prove that its solutions, including the C-Series, have robust multi-layered security mechanisms.
