HDS migration technology 'less risky and costly' than others

16 Nov 2009

Many users of digital storage are going through a period of change - ranging from data centre consolidations to technology refreshes and even moves to brand new systems. These can create considerable disruption to any business, according to Christophe Bertrand, senior director of product marketing at Hitachi Data Systems (HDS).

Writing in his HDS blog, Mr Bertrand explains that he and his team have spent much time recently studying storage migration trends - and he believes many firms could be heading straight into a "painful collision" with reality if they do not choose the right environment in which to migrate.

Mr Bertrand writes: "We successfully prove every day without marketing gimmicks that we have the less/non-disruptive technology and services that effectively reduce customer risk as we efficiently migrate their whole environments."

Investing in HDS systems could, the expert states, be less risky to the stability of a business and work out more cost-effective in the long-run.

Last week another HDS blogger, head of strategic product operations Michael Hay, revealed that the priority of the company is always to provide a safe and secure storage service for its clients.
