HDS reveals new data replicator system

17 Nov 2009

Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) has introduced a cost-effective solution to disaster recovery for business networks. The Hitachi Dynamic Replicator offers a unique hybrid recovery system which is tailored to specific customers and the environment in which they work. It accommodates existing storage applications and is compatible with any future ones which may be added.

Benefits of using the HDS product for data recovery include the fact that it can meet the individual requirements of any business, enhancement of the operational ability and resilience of older programmes. Its recovery method is simple and can offer outstanding replication of data lost or damaged.

Sean Moser, vice-president of software products at HDS, said: "Disaster recovery is a critical concern for organisations of all sizes as they strive to improve the data resilience of their operations."

Earlier this week Christophe Bertrand, senior director of product marketing at HDS, claimed that the firm's technology offers "less risky and costly" methods of data storage than those of some of its rivals.
